Mexico flights resume after scare
Flights from Newcastle to Cancun in Mexico are to resume after being grounded for three weeks because of the swine flu outbreak.
The Thomson-run service will resume on Monday after the Foreign and Commonwealth Office gave the go-ahead.
Those who have booked up until 27 May can still get a full refund or choose an alternative destination.
A spokeswoman for Thomson said it would contact travellers if there were any changes to their holiday.
A statement from Thomson said: "Customers booked on flights to Cancun from Newcastle from Monday onwards will be contacted by our customer services team if there are any changes to their original itinerary in regards to their accommodation or flight date and or time."
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised against all but essential travel to Mexico.
